Who We Are
The National Association of State Aboveground Storage Tank Programs (NASAP) is an association of representatives of state Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) regulatory programs which are intended to protect state ground and surface waters and other resources, by preventing, detecting, and containing leaks and spills from storage of petroleum, chemicals, and other hazardous liquids.
What We Do
NASAP provides a forum to facilitate information sharing between state and federal agencies, trade associations, service providers, the public, and other stakeholders concerning AST related issues. Just some of the things we do:
- Provide a forum for information sharing
- Participate in various industry and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) workgroups on national AST standards and regulatory changes
- Comment on draft EPA rules, guidance, and documents
- Hold annual meetings at National Institute for Storage Tank Management (NISTM) AST Conference
- Respond to State information requests about issues they may be encountering
- Provide information to States developing AST programs
